Bilingual Education Model
To fulfill its mission, the Universidad de las Américas, A.C. emphasizes teaching that connects the theory with practical experiences to achieve significant learning by developing the necessary abilities for an effective, professional performance.
For the undergraduate programs, the student is prepared in three areas:

General Education - to provide the skills: for spoken and written communication in English and Spanish; to apply logical-mathematical reasoning; for an advanced use of productive software certified by leading suppliers in the market and to understand the importance of cultural identity, a well-balanced diet and self-esteem
- English - to develop advanced communication skills by achieving language proficiency to perform in professional bilingual contexts
- Professional - to provide the knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes required for his/her integration to specific professional projects related to the major
For graduate programs, the student is prepared by means of a current, innovative educational process whose main features are:

Tutorial

Curriculum based on the student´s professional project

Organized in quarter terms, allowing the Specialty in one year, the Master's Degree in two and the Doctorate Degree in three and a half years

Class attendance is required only once or twice a week, including tutorial hours agreed upon by both the student and the institution.
