Emblem and Motto

The emblem of the University conveys its aim as an institution which acts as a bridge between the Mexican and American cultures as displayed in the eagles of the Mexican and U.S. coat of arms.

The motto Sapientia, Pax, Fraternitas (Wisdom, Peace, Fraternity), gives meaning to the institutional nature of spreading knowledge, disseminating culture and promoting international understanding.
