UDLACDMX

RATIONALE

At UDLACDMX, we believe that learning Spanish is more than studying a language.

It is about understanding people, culture, everyday life, and the experience of living in Mexico.

UDLACDMX “Intensive Courses” is a university-based cultural immersion program designed for foreigners who want to connect authentically with Mexican life through language, culture, and community.

Located in the heart of Roma–Condesa, in Ciudad de México our program offers:

• Practical Spanish,
• Cultural experiences,
• Social interaction,
• And real-life immersion in Mexico City.

Through dynamic classes, cultural activities, and community experiences, participants develop not only language skills, but also confidence, connection, and cultural understanding.

Whether you are living, studying, working, or simply exploring Mexico, UDLACDMX Spanish Courses offer a new way to experience the city — from the inside.

Learn Spanish. Live Mexico.

Spanish Intensive Courses

“More Spanish, better and faster”

The aim of our Spanish courses at the Universidad de las Américas, A.C., is to create the conditions for participants to learn “More Spanish, better and faster”. Each course includes: “Culture capsules”, structures, vocabulary, practice, and self-evaluations.

THE PROGRAM

UDLACDMX Spanish Intensive Courses cover the four skills of the language: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, plus “Culture Capsules”.

Our learning outcomes are based on The Common European Framework Reference for Language (CEFR) whose guidelines are followed for each of the levels we offer, (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2)”.

The curriculum, learning objectives, thematic contents, skills to be developed and evaluation criteria, are based on the plan designed by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México for Spanish teaching.

This educational plan contains materials and resources that can be synthesized into two components:

• The series of books called "Spanish for everyday life" that consists of six books of text with readings, audiovisual material and a digital platform.

• A placement test, conceived as an integral diagnostic tool designed to evaluate the student's linguistic competence (grammar, vocabulary, listening comprehension and oral/written expression).

Its main objective is to place the student on the appropriate course level to guarantee optimal learning.

- Written test (Grammar and Vocabulary)
- Listening comprehension (Listening) and reading (Reading)
- Oral expression (Speaking)
- Written expression (Writing)

The particularity of the volumes that conform to “Spanish for everyday life” are, firstly, that they are planned from a pan-Hispanic perspective, and secondly, that they are published online for everyone to enjoy.
